General Information -
Gender - Female - Spayed
Age - 1 yr, 3 mos
Birthdate - August 4, 2023
Coloring: Calico/Tabby
Food: Dry kibble supplemented with canned cat food. Good candidate for homemade, or RAW cat food diet.
Personality:
Pros: Very gentle-natured, enjoys a moderate amount of affection, well-behaved, prefers to live indoors. LOVES to be in the kitchen when anyone is cooking! Enjoys some outdoor time and will often take care of her toileting needs outdoors. Loves to nap close to a human, but not touching. Sleeps most of the day. Active several times a day, but most active between 4:30 PM and 10:00 PM.
Cons: Appears to need the additional cat companionship. Spends a lot of time with her siblings or her mother Lucy, but does not get along with our personal pets.
Suggested pairing: Quiet, loving stay-at-home family, or couple where she will get a lot of attention. With someone that likes to cook would be ideal. Might adjust better if placed alongside a sibling or her mother. Unlikely to do well with other cats that she is not used to.
Not recommended for: Loud home. Multi-cat family. Home where no one is available during the day.

Dora in Detail -
Dora is a very gentle and sweet-natured soul. She has grown up in a pride of cats and has bonded more with cats than with humans. She will most likely thrive in a situation where she is able to receive a lot of one-on-one attention.
As a baby, she was the first one to figure out how to wobble out of the nursing kennel, earning herself the name Dora (after Dora the Explorer). As she grew, she retained her curious nature about life. She wants to explore every door that is opened, and every box she can climb into. She grew up interacting with my husband chasing the toys and laser lights games that he provided for her. She still enjoys her time with toys, and remains curious about anything new.
This precious little lady’s adorable innocent face seems to be a perfect reflection of the lovable creature that she is inside. We have not discovered any disagreeable qualities to her disposition. While she does not prefer to be held or carried, she does enjoy being loved on and will ‘almost’ cuddle with you for a nap.
Her one very defining characteristic is that she has the most amazing sense of smell. She can smell raw meat from several rooms away the moment the package is opened! When there is cooking going on in the kitchen, Dora wants to be right in the middle of it. She wants to sample everything, and especially enjoys samples of raw meat.
When I imagine her with her perfect forever home, I imagine her in a home with a male, or young couple, that likes to cook up aromatic delicacies in the kitchen. It would be an added plus if some of those delicacies that are cooked were holistic homemade cat foods. She prefers natural foods over kibble and canned.
Dora seems to be most comfortable when other cats are around. I’m not sure that I would say she and her sister are a ‘bonded pair’, but she does seem to prefer being around one of her siblings, or her mother most of the time. She may be lonely as an only cat, but does not like to interact with any cats except her own family.
Dora is litter box trained, but prefers to toilet outdoors. She has been caught on two occasions urinating down the bathroom sink drain, but this does not seem to be a regular habit.
