Lucy in Detail
Lucy arrived to our home and gave birth to 3 kittens on August 4, 2023. Several attempts were made to find homes for Lucy and her kittens through social media posts. Inquiries were made to rescues and shelters asking for help in finding homes for these cats, without success.
Lucy is a beautiful and wonderful cat for the right person! She needs an owner that is experienced with cats and can patiently correct rough play. She has bonded primarily with me (Kay) and may do better with females than males. Though she seems to have no problems with my husband or my son, she gravitates toward me for affection or the satisfaction of any of her needs.
Since my husband and I mostly work from home, Lucy is used to always having people around her. She prefers to be indoors, except for toileting and a little bit of play time, and sleeps for most of the day. She typically likes to go outside in the late afternoon.
Lucy does not like other cats and will get into spats with them. She needs a lot of personal space, a couple of hours of outdoor time daily, and a LOT of human interaction and affection.
Lucy is intelligent and often appears to understand words. She would possibly be a good candidate for Fluent Pet buttons.
Other than her aggression toward other cats and the small bursts of rough play, we have not noticed any other negative behaviors. Because of the occasional rough play, she would be better suited with an experienced cat owner.
